How leasing works
You pay for the part of the car you use, not the whole car.
The short version
A lease is a long rental with a buy option at the end.
The car is worth a known amount when you return it: the residual. Your payment covers the difference between today's price and that residual, plus financing. A car that holds its value, like a 911 or a G-Class, has a high residual and a lower payment than its price suggests.
- Lower monthly than a loan on the same car
- A new car every two to four years
- No resale hassle at the end
- Business clients can deduct payments

Who can lease a car with TechMotors?
Individuals and companies in Quebec and Ontario. We look at income and credit history; newer businesses can lease with a personal guarantee.
How much do I put down?
Most clients put 10 to 20 percent down. A higher down payment lowers the monthly. Zero down is possible on strong files.
What happens at the end of the lease?
You return the car, buy it at the residual written in your contract, or roll into a new one. We tell you your options 90 days before the end.
What if I drive more than my kilometres?
Extra kilometres are billed at the rate in your contract. If you know you will drive more, take the 24,000 km plan up front; it is cheaper.
Can I end the lease early?
Yes. We can buy the car back, transfer the lease to someone else, or move you into another car. Call us before you decide.
Is insurance included?
No. You insure the car in your name with full coverage. We can introduce you to brokers who insure exotic cars every day.
Do you lease cars that are not in your inventory?
Yes. Tell us the make, model and spec. We source new and nearly new cars in Canada and the United States.
Can my company lease the car?
Yes. See business leasing: payments are usually deductible and the GST and QST can often be claimed back.
